Verde Landscaping Limited
Lavender
Walk Having built a fabulous house in a beautiful rural
area, it was time to change the front garden from a plain all lawned
area into a garden that would compliment the house and fit in with
the village environment.
Wining & Dining
Garden From a garden that was never used our clients now have
a garden full of interesting features with space to expand their
interest of plants and gardening without too much hard
work.
Meditation
Garden From a completely overgrown garden, our clients can
now fully utilise their garden and they have given pride of place to
their God, Buddha, who has been strategically placed so it can be
viewed from anywhere in the garden and from the living room.
Meditation is now practiced either outside or
inside.
The
Drive Our clients wanted to make better use of their front
garden – they had lots of space yet not enough to park their
cars. We gave them plenty of space for existing cars and
more. Utilising existing stone and repositioning the wall
we recreated the different levels so as not to leave it flat
and boring. The paving slabs have been laid in a random form,
punctuated with stone setts; the walls and paving blend together to
keep the look uniform..
A Never Ending
Garden Creating and re-shaping flowerbeds, adding plants,
shrubs, structures, statues, pots etc. gives this garden a new feel
every year, and there is still space and scope for further expansion
and
enhancements..
The
Paddock Due to the lack of interesting features, this garden
blended into the fields beyond. A change of central fountain
(solid marble) certainly stopped the eye from wondering beyond
it.
Family
Garden This is a brand new house on a new development. The
request from our clients was to build a garden suitable for the
whole family; a play area for the children, entertaining area for
the adults yet sufficient garden area for the gardener within the
family.
The Harbour This is the result of overcoming a major problem with
a flooded garden. The client wanted a low maintenance, sunken
garden, but due to the flooding that could not be achieved unless an
innovative drainage system could be installed. The problem was
overcome and our ex Royal Navy Sgnt Major was delighted with the
nautical image in his own back yard.
Hillside
Stream The garden is on an extremely steep hill and this was
taken advantage of for the design. The result is a stream
running from the top of the slope down the centre of the garden into
a reservoir. The water flows over rocks that filter it to keep
it clean. A serpentine gravel path runs from ground level to
the top where there is a timber decked patio. From this
high level it enables the client to see a new perspective of their
house and new garden and where they relax listening to the sound of
the stream flowing over the rocks.
Palm Tree This
garden was designed for a businessman who wanted a tropical garden
suitable for entertainment. This was accomplished with
tropical features using palms and exotic plants that can withstand
the British climate. Pond and waterfall compliment the
planting and the round flagged patio with gravelled area gave a low
maintenance garden that is ideal for its purpose.
Party Garden Our client, a very busy professional lady
required a garden in which she could entertain her clients, friends
and family in a secure environment. The planting is dramatic
and the noise by walking on the gravel path also acts as a deterrent
to unwanted visitors. There is also a fence surrounding the
garden for added security. The decking is the focal point for
guests.
Play Garden The brief for this garden, although
a very small garden, was to incorporate a play area for the
children, patio area for the adults to relax yet be able to
supervise the children and also have a Spanish influence.
Retreat This client is a keen gardener but with limited time
available. He wants to be able to come home from work and
either sit and enjoy the plants and wildlife or carry out a little
gardening work. The water feature attracts birds and
wildlife while the choice of plants give colour, texture and
interest throughout the year.
Romans This garden being 80m
long and 25m wide was a challenge. The approach was to create a
connecting walkway from the house to the end of the garden. The customer is Italian and
he wanted to create a little bit of his home country in his large
garden. The influence of a Roman Garden came from the trees standing
on the left; these stood erect like columns, and were in the style
of “Via Appia” in
Rome.
Woodland The main requirement for the design
of this garden was to enable the clients who have limited mobility,
to easily reach the flower beds so that they can carry out their own
gardening. This was accomplished by creating raised borders
using local materials. The centrepiece of the lawn is a sandstone
circle that matches the walkway around the lawn. The unusual
shape of the lawn adds to the overall interest of the
garden.
